Richard T Dupont

Rich was born in Norwich on July 17th, 1967. He was the son of Noel Dupont and Lorraine (Field) Fennessy and step son to Pauline Dupont. Rich graduated from Griswold High School in 1986.

Rich recently began working at Wal Mart in the meat and produce division. Prior to that, Rich worked at Better Val-U for the past 28 years. Rich was a loyal fan of the Red Sox and 49ers.

Many who have commented with high regards on social media after learning about Rich’s passing, noted that Rich could be seen regularly, walking to and from work. A testament to his work ethic and determination to go to work every day.

Rich is survived by his son Spencer, daughter Cheyenne and grandson Steven.

Remaining to cherish Rich’s memory are brothers David Dupont of The Villages FL, Jeff Dupont and his wife Jess of Seekonk MA, step brother John Roode III and his wife Lori of Griswold as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Rich was especially close to his aunt Yvonne Scott and cousin Joey Benoit with whom he resided with.

He was predeceased by his father Noel Dupont and step brothers Kurt Billings and Troy Billings,Sr.

Calling hours for Richard will be held on Friday, November 1st from 4-6 PM followed by a prayer service at 6PM at the Church & Allen Funeral Home 136 Sachem St. Norwich, CT.
