Raymond L. Popp

He was born March 17, 1936 in Westernport, MD, the son of the late Charles and Mary (Kitsmiller) Popp.

He married Maria Estepa December 19, 1959 in Spain. She survives him.

He served in the United States Navy for over 13 years until his discharge in 1967. He later worked as an electrical inspector at Electric Boat in Groton until his retirement in 1995.

In addition to his wife Maria, he is survived by his sons David Popp and Robert Popp, daughter Christina Chapman and husband Kyle, grandchildren Mark Chapman, Nicole and Brittney Popp, George, Robert and Sara Popp and Jennifer Miller.

A funeral service will be held at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen, 53 Norwich New London Tpke, Uncasville, on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 10 am. Burial will be private for the family.
