Paul was born in Franklin, CT and received his elementary education in a one room schoolhouse in town. He completed his High School education at Norwich Free Academy and graduated in 1954. He subsequently served in the U.S. Army until 1958, when he was honorably discharged and took leadership as VP of the family business, Driscoll’s Dairy. Later in his career, Paul was employed by the State of CT as an electrician.
In June of 1957, he married Joan Wisniewski of Norwich, CT and they enjoyed 60 years of companionship.
During his free time, he loved gardening and was known amongst his close associates as one who grew some of the finest produce the summer would offer, most notably his special tomatoes. He was also an active member of the Westbrook Fishing Club where he enjoyed fishing, hunting and sharing a lot of laughs and teasing with his close friends. Paul was always happy to spend time with his two grandsons, Christian and Joshua, whom he loved dearly and helped them learn to hunt, fish and appreciate outdoor activities.
Paul was predeceased by his parents John and Loretta Driscoll, his brothers John and Jeremiah, and his sister Anne McManus.
He is survived by his wife Joan, his son David and his companion Claudia Muttart, his daughter Cynthia and husband Richard Schneider, his sisters Peggy Foley and Rene Tanner, and his grandsons Christian and Josh.
The family would like to extend very special thanks to Patricia Worthington for her loving support and care to Paul and Joan during Paul’s illness. The family would also like to thank the wonderful caretakers of Hospice Care, Mansfield CT for their selfless and sincere services.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral of St. Patrick, 213 Broadway, Norwich, CT on Monday, April 3rd at 10am meeting directly at the church. Calling Hours are Sunday, April 2nd from 6pmp – 8pm at Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave., Norwich, CT. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
