Patricia A Rasponi

Patricia "Patty" Rasponi, 64, of Norwich passed away peacefully on December 8, 2024, in Norwich, Connecticut surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 13, 1960, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, to Elia and Ann (Sullivan) Rasponi and raised in New Ipswich, NH.

Patty proudly served in the US Navy as a Corpsman, dedicating herself to care for others. After her military service she continued her passion for healthcare as a civilian nurse. Her compassionate spirit and unwavering commitment to helping others defined both her professional and personal life.

A devoted sister, aunt, and friend Patty was predeceased by her parents Elia and Ann Rasponi. She is survived by her siblings David Rasponi and his wife Beatrice of Davenport FL; Michael Rasponi and his wife Carol of Cornville AZ; Mary Rasponi of Wakeman OH; Debra Lord and husband Charles Webster of Ledyard CT; and Sean Rasponi of Ledyard CT.

Patty deeply cherished her extended family including Lawrence Lord and Patrick Santora Jr. of Waterford CT, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews. She had a special bond with her niece Kate Kenyon and great nephews Isaac and Elijah Lord-Kenyon; and niece Jessica Lord and great nephew Damion, great nieces Mahaylia, Nevaeh, and Jaidah Lord. Patty never missed a ball game or sports event, loved making arts and crafts, and found joy in watching them grow.

Faith was a central part of Patty’s life as was the love she had for her family. With a mischievous sense of humor and heart of gold she brought laughter to those around her and selflessly helped anyone in need. Patty also had a special love for animals, often adopting and caring for stray pets over the years.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Patty’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, or to the Connecticut Humane Society. Services will be held at a later date
