Patricia Patterson

Patricia was born March 3, 1948 in Brentwood, Long Island, the daughter of the late Charles and Edna Gallagher.

A lifelong resident of the area, Patricia was a Special Education Professional and worked in the Groton and Lisbon school systems. Her passion was advocating for and working with special need students. In addition, she was a licensed realtor and enjoyed working with first time home buyers. She also was active in the Foster care and Adoption system in Connecticut. In her spare time she enjoyed bowling, Bingo, Blackjack and gardening.

Patricia is survived by her sons and daughter in laws; Brian O. and Maria Patterson of CT, Donald R. and Sarah Patterson of NJ, Scott C. and Jillian Patterson of CT, Charlie L. and Helen Cheng of OH, grandsons Jack and Sam Patterson of CT and twin granddaughters expected in October.

She was predeceased by a son, Zachary Patterson.

A funeral service will be held at the Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave., on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 10:30 am. Calling hours will be held from 9 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
