Mary J Bourdon Morelli

Norwich-Mary J. Morelli, age 82, of Norwich, passed away at Orchard Grove Nursing Home in Montville on August 27, 2011. She was born on July 16, 1929 in Albany, NY to the late Paul and Clara (Hahn) Bourdon.

Mary lived in Vernon, CT for many years and was a Production Planner for Contromatics Inc. for 20 years. She was an avid reader and bowler. She enjoyed playing bingo and was great at puzzles. She was always one her neighbors and friends came to for advice in a variety of areas.

She is survived by a daughter Mary Jean Wall and her husband Michael of St. Johnsville, NY, a son Michael Morelli of Sparks, NV, a daughter Carolann Borko and her husband, Lee of Roswell, GA and a daughter Christina Bahrs of Hampstead, NC, also a sister Elizabeth Menard of Norwich, a sister Diane Quinn and her husband Richard of Lakeland, FL, and a sister-in-law Eola Bourdon of Norwich, CT. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She is pre-deceased by a son Robert Morelli, a sister Laurie Bronson, a sister Valerie Lyon, a brother Paul Gerald Bourdon, and a brother Kenneth Hedges.

Family and friends may visit Church and Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem Street, Norwich on Sunday, September 4th, from 3:00 p.m. until and including the time of the service at 5:30 p.m. Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Maplewood Cemetery.
