My sincere condolences to Lorraine's loved ones. Lorraine played flute in the Norton High Band so many years ago; she was a soft-spoken, kind, and intelligent person. Blessed be Lorraine.


I went to Norton High with Lorraine..I remember her being a kind quiet soul...and she was smart as a whip! Always sad to lose a classmate...may she rest in peace...

It seems like Lorraine was in every class I took in High School.  She was a lovely person, so intelligent and always smiling.  I am saddened at news of her passing, but also gladdened to learn a bit about her noble, selfless life in teaching, music, and faith. I knew Lorraine in grade school and high school in Norton. She was a bright and lovely person. I was thrilled to connect with her on Facebook recently and was truly hoping to coax her into joining us at our next class reunion. I was saddened and shocked to hear of her passing. My thoughts and love go out to her family.

I knew Lorraine as a teacher in the Norwich schools.  She was always enthusiastic and positive about her classes of students.  It was evident she loved teaching and was dedicated to the profession.  I also saw a different side of her when I happened to attend a concert at the Cathedral a couple of months ago and she was singing in the choir.  What a talented lady!   She will be missed.  May God comfort and console you.

I knew Lorraine for a few years when she worked for the Franklin Town elections and also recently at our local Book Club at the town library. She always had a smile and a wonderful person to talk to. She will be missed.

Lorraine and I shared a classroom during my first year of teaching in Thompson. Her keen sense of humor and outlook on life will never be forgotten. Though we only worked together for that one year, she always went out of her way to make sure we stayed in touch. Whether it was her monthly phone call or her famous snicker doodles in the mail for Christmas, she was always finding ways to show that she cared.  Lorraine will be deeply missed by all.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing or Lorraine.  I remember her from school.  She was always nice and kind person.  I am sure she will be missed by all.

She was a wonderfully talented musician who enjoyed every aspect of working with children in various environments who will be missed.

I will always remember Lorraine's cheerful disposition. She enjoyed working with children, and she was always ready to take on the challenges of the day as a faithful substitute teacher. 

I will miss her frequent presence at Uncas Elementary School in Norwich.

I was fortunate to meet and get to know Lorraine. She substituted at John B. Stanton School during the last two years. The staff and I will miss her passion and enthusiasm for education, her wonderful ideas about how to engage children in learning, and her kind and caring manner. She was a joy to know and she is missed. I wish to express my condolences to her family and friends.

She used to play the flute at mass and at my choir events. This was a shocker to have lost someone like Mrs. Perry. I can still imagine hearing the flute play in heaven. God Bless You, Mrs. Perry

I knew Lorraine in High School, as older sister to my friend Beverly.  May I express sincere condolences to you all.  She was so young...her passing must have been a shock.  I remember her as being a smiling, friendly and talented teenager who was a gifted and devoted flautist...May God Bless you all during this difficult time, and know that she is being held in the blessed heart of Christ. We will greatly miss Lorraine's extraordinary musical talent that she so generously shared at St. Joseph Church.  Her  beautiful flute, handbell and  vocal ability could only be matched by her cheerful, friendly personality. Our condolences to her family.

To all Lorraine's family and dear friends: What a gifted and delightful woman Lorraine was!  Her smile always warmed the Norwich Diocesan Choir rehearsal room.  She was always there to help anyone who was missing a particular piece music.  It has been said that " wherever someone dear to us is fondly remembered...........there they shall remain in the hearts of those who loved them"........and thus it is, that Lorraine shall be with all of us who knew her, loved her and appreciated her for who she always was!  Rest well, Lorraine.  We will all miss you!

My deepest heartfelt sorrow to Lorraine's Family and Friends.  I met Lorraine this past fall when she taught my fourth grade classs at Uncas Elementary School in the Norwich School District. Lorraine was such an outstanding teacher that whenever I was out, I would request her. She always completed the lessons that I prepared, gave the students individual attention, valuable fedback and interacted so patiently with them. I will miss her superior teaching, but more than anything, I will miss her warm smile and loving heart. May she find peace in a heavenly paradise.

I was blessed to have met Lorraine over the last several weeks. Although I didn't get to know her well, it was evident that she was a loving soul with so many good things to offer the children in Norwich Public Schools.  My condolences to Lorraine's family.

I feel honored to have known Lorraine for the past year.  She exemplified the qualities of her faith; her kindness, generosity of spirit and devotion to the field of education is an inspiration.  I find solace in knowing her legacy will endure through the many students and adults with whom Lorraine shared her gifts.  My sincere condolences to her friends & family.

My condolences to BJ and the family.  I had the pleasure of working with Lorraine as a musician at various services at the Cathedral as well as singing with her in the Norwich Diocesan Choir many years ago.  She was always so pleasant and a fine musician.  She will be greatly missed.

Lorraine was a lovely person and a wonderful musician. She was a good friend to all of us in the Norwich Diocesan Choir, and her sweet flute always added a charming touch to the Lessons and Carols program each Christmas at the Cathedral of St. Patrick. Now she has joined the heavenly choir, but she will certainly be missed. My deepest sympathy to all her family.

We at the Franklin Town Hall send our sympathy to Lorraine's family. Lorraine always came to the Town Hall with a smile and was a pleasure to work with.  She shared her joy of scrapbooking, sewing, singing and teaching.She helped so much at the Woodward Museum with her crafts for the kids. She will be missed greatly here in the Town of Franklin. To Lorraine's family, I knew Lorraine when she worked in Thompson, CT.  She was a lovely, talented lady, skilled with the children, kind and generous. She would pop into my thoughts frequently of late.   I am sorry she was taken from you so soon.  My deepest condolences to all of you. I can picture her playing her flute in the choir of angels.
