Eva Gerogotelis Scott

Uncasville-Eva G. Scott, age 89, of Uncasville, passed away after a brief illness at William W. Backus Hospital on June 3, 2014. She was born in Norwich on November 12, 1924 to the late Emanuel and Maria (Papyis) Gerogotelis. She married her loving husband Malcom L. Scott on January 18, 1952 in Key West, Florida. He predeceased her on February 3, 1990.

Eva worked as a receptionist for the U.S. Naval Hospital in Groton. She was a member of the Philoptochos Society, St Sophia Church Senior Citizens of New London and the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church choir.

She is survived by a daughter Debra McMahon and her husband James of Woodbridge, VA., a daughter Christal Cieslak and her husband Walter of South Glastonbury, grandchildren Nicholas Glover, Jeffrey Glover, James McMahon, Timothy Cieslak, Pamela Cieslak, Stephanie Cieslak and a great grandson James McMahon V. She also leaves behind a brother John Geragotelis of Norwich, a sister Irene Chapman of Orem, Utah, a sister Elizabeth Martell of Uncasville, a sister Julia Gerogotelis of Norwich and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother William Geragotelis.
