Miquel, Eliseo " ,Eli "as he was called by love ones was born on the 4th. Of July , 1932 in Los Angeles , @the Santa Marta Clinic . Mother was , Lenora & Father , Miguel, He was Raised during the depression years , so naturally he adopted values of being frugal & valued whatever was given to him. ,
Has two younger sisters, Alva, & Carmen , nieces , Lisa & Dolores, nephew Irvin,& Michael, great niece, Ava, great nephew Luke, & lots of cousins from both sides of the family,.
In his younger years he loved playing marbles and Chinese checkers & Chess , and taught both his sisters how to play those games, .played cowboy and indians , where the sisters always made him play the part of the indian and they were the cowboys , and he willingly complied, that was just so him
Would read them bedtimes stories. During his teenage years he worked several jobs and contributed his earnings to the family , he was always a very responsible son
Attended Garfield High School where he enjoyed History and drafting , art classes , which he was very good at.. He was a Scout , & joined the ROTC, & eventually the National Guard.
In 1951, when war broke out in Korea , the National Guard was inducted into the 40th infantry Division, so Eli at age 17 & half, became an Army infantry soldier. , Our mother accepted his high school diploma on his behalf, & read some of his letters sent from a Korea foxhole , & there wasn't a dry eye in the house. He Served two years in the 40th infantry Division, was sent to occupied Japan after boot camp & eventually Inchon, Korea where he earned the Bronze Star for Bravery , among other service medals, called himself the rifleman.
After his discharged from the service , he enrolled in Bible School/Seminary, earned his Associate degree in Theology .
Served as a missionary for the church & worked with the American Indians in Arizona. After many years in that vocation, he returned to California where he pursued his love of Architectural Drafting. Earned his degree thru "The American Institute of Architects" in an "Architect in Training program" while working in a large Engineering firm. Did some projects for NASA and the Dept. of Water and Power among many other notable assignments

Loved the outdoors and volunteered for the California Forestry Dept. , help with clearing brush in preparation for the fire season among other assignments. He loved keeping busy
Joined the Sierra Club where he met the love of his life , Anna Lisa, she taught him how to cross country ski , her being an expert , raised in Finland. They Fell in Love, married , July 2nd. 1977, bought a lovely home in Simi Valley and spent 50 good ,& happy years there . They loved traveling to many places and countries , were very happy together , & had pet names for one another, "Preztel"
Eli was a very a responsible son , Had a very strong faith , humble and conservative, caring and loving brother , good Uncle , and Great Uncle, he will be much missed. "He fought the Good fight & he finished his race, He kept the Faith"
