Michael Andrew Minor

Mike is survived by his wife, Angela W. Minor; his children, Brooklyn Minor, Brittney Minor Stackhouse and Logan Michael Minor; grandchildren, Rowan Stackhouse and Weston Reid; Father, Raymond Minor (Betty); Sister, Jennifer Minor Geiger; Niece, Haleigh Turner; Nephew, Jude Geiger; Father and Mother in law, Everette and Carol Roberts.

He is predeceased by his mother, Mary Nell Rushing Minor.

Mike graduated from Demopolis High School and attended Livingston University. He was employed by Hunt Refinery. As a child, Mike loved minor league baseball and earned a black belt in Taekwondo.

Mike loved his family. His girls, son and two grandsons brought along many memories, smiles, laughs, and joy to his heart. His favorite times were spent watching his children play sports. Aside from his family, Mike’s second love was golf. When Mike wasn’t working you could usually find him at Sumter Country Club in York, Knolls Country Club in Reform, and previously Hidden Meadows Golf Course in Northport. He was an avid golfer who loved competing in the game. He especially loved the comradery that came with a round of golf. Mike also loved his Auburn Tigers football. He enjoyed working in his yard as well.

Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Chapel Hill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 until 11:00. A graveside service will follow in Sumter Memorial Gardens in Cuba at 1:15. Bro. Jack White officiating services.

Serving as pallbearers are Josh Dunkling, John Alan Olinger, Blake Ballenger, Justin Williams, Brad Johnson and Dexter Black.

Honorary Pallbearers are George Hunt and his uncles, James Minor and Bobby Minor and the many friends from Hunt Refinery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice or play a round of golf in Mike's memory.
