The family will receive guests to celebrate her life Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home, with the Celebration of Life Service at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers, Frank Morris, Tim Douglas, Roy Bannerman, Ronnie Winters, Chris Grant, Robert Bowers, Jeremy Boatner and Timothy Jones.

Honorary pallbearers are the members of Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church.

Her husband, Rev. Delbert D. Townsend, preceded her in death, along with her daughter, Deborah Townsend Brown; her parents, Lee and Cora Brown; sisters, Jimmie Brown Morris and Willa Dean Brown.

Louise is survived by her children, Elaine Wallace (Ricky), Richard Townsend, Celeste Alexander (David), Michael Townsend (Lucy) and 8 grandchildren.

Louise grew up in Brownville, Alabama and graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School before marrying Delbert Townsend. Louise was a homemaker and enjoyed working outside in her flower garden. She loved her children and grandchildren and our lives will never be the same. We are blessed to have had a mother like ours, but she is finally home with her Lord Jesus and her beloved Delbert.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church.
