J.B. Hall, 78, of Buhl, AL died on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at home with his family by his side. Services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. David Kelly officiating.

Burial will follow in Pate Cemetery in Buhl with Sunset Funeral Home a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.

He is preceded in death by his parents Johnny B. & Mary B. Hall; uncles, Brownie Hall, Gesner Burroughs; sister, Clarine Channell; brother-in law, Wayne Channel; nephew/son, Christopher Scruggs, and Johnny Channell; & great niece/granddaughter, Ella Rose Scruggs.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Dean Hall; brother, David Hall (Darlene); daughters, Melissa Hall Booth (Steve), Kellie Hall Nelson; nephew/son, Johnny Scruggs; grandkids, Justin Booth (Brooke), Adam Booth (Elizabeth), Ryanna Swindle (Brent), Renee Swindle (Braxton), Austin Nelson (Jazmine) & Rosie Adams; great grandkids, Emberlee, Elijah, Khloe, Jhett, Kaylynn & many nieces & nephews.

J.B. was an amazing husband & provider to his wife Elizabeth of 59 years. He loved being around his family. He started working at the age of 14 and he ended up opening his own business as we know and love as J.B. Hall’s Garage & Wrecker Service. He enjoyed working on vehicles, going on wrecker runs, helping anyone that needed his help. He loved watching football, listening to gospel & country music & preaching on Sunday mornings. He was loved by many & will truly be missed every day.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Scruggs, Dustin Scruggs, Austin Nelson, Brent Rocha, Braxton Richards & Travis Channell. Honorary Pallbearers are Hospice of West Alabama, Hunter & Haley Reynolds, Lucia Bergman, Jan Boothe & Jann’s Pharmacy.
