Gerard Hermel Pelletier, age 62, of Northport, died Sept. 14, 2010, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Funeral Home with Father Jerry Deasy officiating and Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ludger Pelletier.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanne Pelletier; his mother, Laura Pelletier of New Brunswick, Canada; his stepsons, Jon Roebuck (Sherry), Jeff Roebuck, and James “Jimbo” Roebuck (Connie); his brothers, Conrad Pelletier (Joclyn) and Dorice Pelletier (Nancy); his sisters, Rachel P. Garrison (Jerry) and Therese P. Bernard; his grandchildren, Amanda Eaton, Justin, Megan, and Jaimie Roebuck, Jacob Roebuck, Kayla Lindsey, and Sean Dean; and his great-grandchildren, Carter and Eli Eaton and Phoenix Roebuck Carden.
Gerard loved having fun with his family. He also loved fishing, gardening, cooking on the grill, and watching cowboy movies, of course.
Gerard was a self-taught skilled mechanic. He loved to work with anything with a motor. He helped anyone in need, and it was never a chore to him.
He loved life and lived it to its fullest. Now, he is resting in Heaven, his final journey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the DCH Cancer Foundation.
