Doug was a kind-hearted man who had many friends. Anyone who knew him had great respect for him. Doug was always willing to help whoever was in need. He was dearly loved by all who knew him.
Doug's family was very important to him. He loved them all unconditionally. He dearly loved and cherished his wife of 45 years. Doug's children and grandchildren meant the world to him. Being with them brought him so much joy. All of his nieces and nephews held a special place in his heart. He was proud of all of his family.
One of Doug's favorite things to do was to play his guitar and sing country and gospel music. Some of his favorite gospel songs were The Old Rugged Cross, Amazing Grace and He Cried. Above all, Doug truly loved the Lord and was ready to meet Him. Our lives are forever changed because of Doug's love and kindness. He will be greatly missed.
