The family will receive friends Friday, January 5, 2024 at 9:30am at Sunset Funeral Home in Northport, AL. Graveside services will follow at 11:00am at Salem Baptist Church in New Lexington, AL.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clay T. “Puney” and Dorothy Kuykendall, brothers, Davis Kuykendall and Jimmie Kuykendall, sisters-in-law, Janice Kuykendall and Melba Kuykendall, and niece Debbie Lynn Kuykendall.
Survivors include her sons, Josh (Ashley) Johnson, and Jeremiah (Caroline) Johnson and six grandchildren, Payton Johnson, Rylan Johnson, Ethan Johnson, Lleyton Johnson, Delaney Johnson and Owen Johnson.
Denise loved everyone she met and she never met a stranger.
Pallbearers will be Andy Kuykendall, Jeff Kuykendall, David Kuykendall, Charles Ray Odom and Colby Ray Odom.
Honorary pallbearers include the residents and staff at Clara Verner Towers, the staff at Southern Hospice Care, Dr. Alldredge, and friends and neighbors of New Lexington.
