Many happy and humorous memories shared with sister in laws and brother in laws Barb and Scott, Jeanne and Randy. Doug has left a lifetime of inspiration to his many grand nieces and nephews. Among his greatest passions were no doubt his fun loving family, his music, his fellow musicians, his hours on the drums, his obsession for golf and hockey, his interest in everyone's life and his extensive memories of World War II shared with his old navy buddies. Of course, our fondest memories will always be his attempt at corny jokes and his incredible talent as a singer and musician. There will be a party in heaven and Doug will be smiling as he leads the band! Visitation on Sunday from 5 to 8 pm at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel on Monday, January 31st, 2005 at 2:30 pm. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
