Stanley Carver Robinson was born in Calgary, Alberta on March 11, 1927 and passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 21, 2024 at Augustine House in Ladner, BC. He is survived by his wife Marjorie, daughters Jill and Sally, sons Tom and Stuart, ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, his sister Josephine, and numerous in-laws and nieces and nephews. Stan taught for many years at both the elementary and secondary levels in Winfield and Burnaby, BC. His love of God and faith in Jesus Christ was expressed over many years of participation at Marpole Baptist, Granville Chapel, and St. John's Vancouver Anglican churches. Stan's love for life was expressed in his care and provision for family, including many memorable family camping holidays; singing in the Vancouver Bach Choir for over forty years; teaching ESL in his retirement, woodworking, tending his lawn, flowers, and vegetable garden, golfing, and travel. Stan touched many lives and will be missed by family and friends. We are comforted to share in his faith and his hope that death is not the last word, but that we will see each other again. A Celebration of Life will be held at Kerrisdale Presbyterian Church (2733 W. 41st Ave) on Thursday, July 11 at 2 pm.
