Jean Duff Lewis

On May 23, 2018, Jean Duff Lewis passed away peacefully at home, having lived a full and wonderful life. She was predeceased by her loving husband Ted Lewis in 1994, and is survived by her seven children Carol Wardrop (Terry), Susan Beechey (Tom), Peggy Lewis (Chris), Ted Lewis (Pat) Bill Lewis (Joanne), John Lewis (Monika) and Randy Lewis (Jennifer), together with many grandchildren, great–grandchildren, and cherished lifelong friends.

Jean graduated from VGH Nursing school and loved working at Children’s Hospital, while raising her family. Mother was a nurse, a dancer, a guide, and advisor. She enjoyed her travel and visits with family. Nothing pleased her more than a dinner at CCs with extended family or a cruise to foreign ports.

Special thanks to Jean’s loving caregiver of the past six years, Venus Porto, and to her family doctor, Dr. Marck Hudon, both of whom went above and beyond in making her final days comfortable.

A Celebration of Jean’s Life will be held at Mount Seymour United Church, 1200 Parkgate Avenue, North Vancouver, on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to BC Childrens’ Hospital, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
