Anna Marie Draper (Nana) passed away peacefully in Burnaby, surrounded by family. Born in Kelowna, she grew up in Osoyoos, eventually settling in Burnaby. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 49 years, Ronald Draper and their baby boy, Bruce; her parents, Joseph and Katherine Lock. Anna is survived by her son, Richard Draper (Kim), daughter, Michelle Meech (Roger), grandchildren Maddie, John, Rion, Gabie, Dylan, and Jaden, as well as her two sisters, Wilma Landry and Rosie Plett. Anna grew up on the family orchard in Osoyoos with 13 brothers and sisters and in 1964, married Ron, who was serving in the Canadian Military. She lived in Germany, Ontario and BC and worked as a Care Aide at Fellburn Care Centre. Anna enjoyed knitting, walking, cooking, and sharing wine and conversation with friends and family. The family is grateful for the wonderful staff at the New Vista Care Centre. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 10th, 2018 at 10 am at First Memorial, Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Rd., North Vancouver, BC. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of BC.
