Raymond L. Premuroso (Sr.), 97, of Palm Beach Gardens passed away peacefully on February 8, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Ray was born in the Bronx, New York on February 5th, 1926, to Italian immigrants, Frank and Josephine Premuroso, and was the youngest of 5 children. He graduated from Christopher Columbus High School in June 1944 and immediately enlisted in the United States Army. He proudly served under the 87th Infantry (Acorn) Division in Europe during World War II. After his service, Ray returned to New York and enrolled in the post war RCA electronics school and began a 40 year career in manufacturing. Ray married his first love, Rosalie (Gine), in 1951. In 1969, Ray moved his family to Palm Beach Gardens where he lived for the remainder of his life.
Ray was a gentleman of steadfast Catholic faith and unquestionable character. He led his life with actions versus words, setting an example his family aspires to follow. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports and, later in life, enjoyed watching a game on TV and discussing it the following day.
Ray was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Rosalie, who was the mother of their four sons; his second wife Jean (Vigue); his parents; and his four older brothers and sisters. Ray is survived by his sons Ronald (Sherry), Richard (Andrea), Raymond, Jr. (Laura) and Robert “Bert” (Lynda); grandchildren, Chris (Caitlin), Shania (Mark), Chris (Anna), Jared, Sarah, Bret and Reid; great grandchildren Parker, Chelsea and Anthony Premuroso, Ensley McNeill, Nathan and Violet DeToma, as well as many additional family members. A special thank you to his third-floor Assisted Living and Support Team at Brookdale in Palm Beach Gardens. Thank you all for your love for this awesome man!
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Clare’s Church in North Palm Beach on February 23, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trustbridge/Hospice of Palm Beach County (https://trustbridge.com/donate-now/) or to St. Clare Catholic School, 821 Prosperity Farms Road, North Palm Beach, FL 33408 Attn. Mrs. Kissel.
