Margaret “Peggy” Hennessey (nee McMahon), affectionately known by her family and friends as “Mema”, a resident of North Palm Beach, FL passed away on May 6, 2019. Peggy was born in the Bronx, New York and from that moment became a devout, lifetime fan of the New York Yankees. Peggy called New York home until moving to North Palm Beach in the summer of 2006 to live with family.
A descendant of Irish immigrants, Peggy cherished Irish culture and tradition. She fondly recalled her travels to Ireland as a young child with her Mother, Mary Bridget Brown-McMahon, of Galway.
Peggy is survived by her five children: Catherine Hennessey, William Hennessey, Maureen Herrmann, John Hennessey, and Bridget Kaseta. Peggy also enjoyed the blessing of her ten grandchildren: Tracy Toussaint, Conroy Hennessey, William Herrmann, Sergeant Daniel Herrmann, United States Army, Douglas Todd, Tabitha Herrmann, Erin Hennessey, Specialist Stephen Herrmann, United States Army, Ryan Kaseta and Emily Kaseta, and three great- grandchildren: Makayla Toussaint, Brandon Allen, and Braylon Toussaint. Peggy is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews, her beloved daughter-in-law and friend, Eileen Daly, her beloved friend Betsy Misura, and her devoted caregiver and dear friend, Tawanna McElhaney.
The Family will be having a Memorial Mass at St. Clare's Catholic Church, 819 Prosperity Farms Road, North Palm Beach, FL 33408. The mass will be held at 11:00 AM.
