Claudia Lee Knowles, 74, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, passed away on August 25, 2019. She was born to parents Zenith Dewey Ellington and Nancy Jane Ellington (Lightfoot), on November 2, 1944 in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Lee met Garnett Knowles in 1976. They were married on October 12, 1979 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Lee loved everything Alaska. Her and Garnett spent many summers in Alaska, they had many friends there, and they traveled all over Alaska by RV. She especially loved the Iditarod Dog Race held in March each year and she served as a volunteer for several of the races.
Lee is survived by her husband Garnett, her son Darrel Donatto and his wife Marie, stepson Robert Knowles, stepdaughter Elaine Kuespert and her husband James, four grandchildren, one great grandchild, and numerous other close members of the Knowles family.
She was preceded in death by her father Dewey and mother Nancy, and her grandson Daniel.
A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral Home located at 754 US-1, North Palm Beach. A reception will follow at La Bamba Restaurant located at 730 US-1, North Palm Beach.
