Ann Marie Medford passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2022, at the age of 81. Ann Marie was born July 28, 1940, in Flushing, New York. She grew up in New York and spent most of her young adult life there. She graduated High School from Dominican Commercial High School. Ann Marie continued her education at Queens College and St. John’s University where she received a bachelor's and double master’s degree in education.
She started her career teaching in New York and continued teaching when she moved to Florida with her family in 1979. She spent many years positively impacting the students at Northboro Elementary and concluded her teaching career at Allamanda Elementary.
Ann Marie shared her creativity in many ways. She was a talented piano player during her younger years and used those skills to teach general music in New York. Ann Marie expressed her creative side through painting ceramics as a young adult which shifted into stitching and crocheting afghans until a couple of years ago. She was also an avid reader!!
Ann Marie was preceded in death by her father Charles Connor, her mother, Margaret Connor, and her brother Jerry Connor. She is survived by her husband, Morris Medford, daughter Jeneve Jarvis, son-in-law John Jarvis and her grandson, Jaxon Jarvis.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral Home, 754 US-1, North Palm Beach, FL 33408. In lieu of flowers, Ann Marie would appreciate donations made to the Salvation Army:
