Joseph Petit Do Dolce

Joseph Dolce born on May 25, 1922 in Saint Louis Du Nord, Haiti. Joseph began his journey that would span a century, he lived a rich and fulfilling life. He dedicated his years to the craft of carpentry, leaving behind a legacy of skill and craftsmanship. His remarkable skill as a carpenter earned him the affectionate nickname “Boss Joe”, a title that resonated with respect and admiration.

In 1960, he married the love of his life and together they forged a bond that lasted until his final moments. A devoted family man, Joseph leaves behind a legacy of love, unity and unwavering commitment to family, a testament to his life and the impact he had on those around him. Whether in the workshop or with family, each moment reflected the essence of his character.

In 1998, after his retirement he migrated to Miami, Florida to join his children. Joseph found comfort in attending regular church services and playing word search game. On January 12, 2024, Joseph passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was 101 years old.

Joseph legacy lives on through his wife Luce, children – Ertha, Ovalande, Wisline, Andre (Rita), Jocelin, Rozanne and Alex (Lucienne). Grandchildren – Patricia (Jemmie), Robinson, Andrea, Maxon, Ronald. Elvens, Lesly, Adelrose, Gilbert, Marika, Redni, Lousinda, Allen, Jean-Michel, Dreana, Ted, Ziggy and Estelle. Great-grandchildren – Carlos, Elijah, Makayla, Jzarielle, DeAhija, Masai, Zyon, Alana, Amora, Walna, Donalson, Donalvens, Marvens, Ruth, Jamesky, Leydjina, Katiana, Slyvens, Ronaldo, Barbara, Makenley, Milley, Jamesly, Alexander, Xavier, Nya, Ileana, Oliver. He is also survived by host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A viewing for Joseph will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Caballero Rivero Southern Funeral Home, 15011 West Dixie Highway, North Miami, Florida 33181. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 9:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 14500 NE 11th Ave, North Miami, Florida 33161. An interment will occur Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Caballero Rivero Southern Memorial Park, 15000 W Dixie Highway, North Miami Beach, Florida 33181. A repast will occur Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 14500 NE 11th Ave, North Miami, Florida 33161.
