WF “Sonny” Bunyard age 82 of Sherwood went to be with his Lord on February 15, 2022. He was born to Will and Rose Ashcraft Bunyard on January 26, 1940 in Petus, Arkansas. Sonny is predeceased by his parents, 2 sisters, Minnie Lou “Bunny” Bunyard-Riker of California, Pauline Hansen Ezell of Scott, Arkansas, 2 brothers, Robert Bunyard of Bauxite, Arkansas and Bill Bunyard of California. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Glenda Sue Pack Bunyard, one daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Bunyard Tackett & Alan Tackett of Little Rock, the light of his life grandsons Will & Jack Tackett of Little Rock, one sister and brother-in-law Gail & Robert Heagler of Jefferson City, MO. Sonny was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1966 serving most of his tour in Germany. He was retired from Bransford Farming Co.
Visitation will be held Monday February 21st 11-12 pm at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, where funeral services will follow at 12 pm. Burial will follow services in Rest Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to the First Baptist Church of Sherwood or to the UAMS General Fund.
