She was born July 1, 1922, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Thomas Orville and Leta Pauline Booth. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Col. Henry R. Rice, three brothers, Thomas Jefferson Booth, John Booth and Richard Booth, and son-in-law, Michael Pyron.
Rose Ann was raised in Ft. Worth and graduated from Springtown High School. She was a member of Lakewood Methodist Church for many years. She enjoyed bowling and was active in the Officer’s Wives Club during her husband’s tour of duty in the United States Air Force.
Rose Ann and her husband enjoyed traveling in their Holiday Rambler and with Good Sam’s Clubs. As a homebuilder’s wife, she enjoyed decorating the new homes her husband built.
She is survived by daughter, Patricia Pyron of Sherwood; son, Thomas Dean Rice (Carol) of Middleburg, Virginia; four grandchildren, Jonathan Pyron of North Little Rock, Thomas Michael Pyron (Stephanie) of Montclair, New Jersey, Kathryn Roseann Champion (Wes) of North Little Rock, and Mary Elizabeth Wiuff (Mitchell) of Spokane, Washington; seven great-grandchildren, Endigo and Preston Pyron, Taylor, Weston, Maddox and Tatum Rose Champion, and Henry Wiuff; one great great-grandchild, Alice; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 23, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and funeral services on Monday, June 24, at 10:00 a.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills in North Little Rock. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
