Robert Joseph Fenton, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and proud military veteran, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2024, in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on January 2, 1935, in Fresno, California.
Robert devoted 27 years to serving his country in the United States Air Force, completing two tours of duty in Vietnam and achieving the rank of Captain. His service was marked by dedication and bravery, and he held his military career in the highest regard. After retiring from the Air Force, he continued to serve his community in various capacities.
Robert earned a degree in sociology with a minor in psychology from Stanislaus State College, reflecting his lifelong commitment to understanding and helping others. His academic pursuits were a testament to his belief in the power of education and personal growth.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, William and Florence Bowlin, his son Mark, and his siblings, Barbara Bowlin Estes and Wilma Jones. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Rosemary Fenton, with whom he shared a life of love and partnership.
He is also survived by his children, Robert Fenton, Jared (Leone) Fenton, and Kirk (Janie) Fenton, and his cherished grandchildren, Tracy, Whitney, Trisha, Sheree, Robbie, Ashley, Ryan, Michael, Tommy (Tabitha), T.J., Lilith, Emily (Marco), and a host of loving friends and family.
Robert's proudest moments were undoubtedly those spent with his family. His legacy is one of unwavering love and dedication to those he cherished most. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
