She is preceded by her parents, Frank Parker and Opal Betterton Parker, and her husband Loyd Stanley Martin. She is survived by her daughter Linda K. Martin Smith and her husband David H. Smith of Little Rock, AR, her son Dr. Jerry Martin and his wife Christine Martin of Louisville, CO; grandchildren Matthew Smith and his wife Dr. Allie Smith, Madison Smith, Allison Martin, and Daniel Martin; and great grandchildren Charles Smith and Margaret Smith. She is also survived by her Parker siblings - Charles, Frank, Leona, and Irene and their families.
Mary grew up in Alma and was a graduate of Arkansas Tech University where she played basketball for the Wonder Girls. She spent 20 years following her husband at bases in the U.S. Air Force. Later she was a civilian employee at the LRAFB. She loved to fish, read, and work crossword puzzles. She was a longtime member of Runyan First Baptist Church. A graveside service will be held in January.
