Mary Sue Brown, 86, of Bryant, AR passed away on September 26, 2024. She was born on July 25, 1938 to Willie Abshure and Hazel Tedford Abshure. She was a lifelong member of North Pulaski United Methodist Church and was retired from Cato Elementary. She enjoyed gardening, entertaining friends and family, and ensuring no one left her presence hungry. Mary Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Brown; father and mother; three brothers, Ray Abshure, Roger Abshure, and Willie F. Abshure.
She is survived by one daughter, Kristine Huey (Joe) of Benton, AR; granddaughters, Kaitlyn (Tommy) Wedge of Jacksonville, AR, and Kassidy (Cameron) Engstrom of Bryant, AR; two brothers, Freddie G. Abshure (Joann) of Lonoke and Ronnie (Rita) Abshure of Austin, AR; two sister-in-laws, Kathryn Abshure and Mary Abshure, along with many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of CARTI and Hospice Home Care for the wonderful care they provided.
Family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Wednesday October 2, 2024 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, AR, 72117. Funeral Service will be Thursday October 3, 2024 at 11:00 am at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home with Rev. Lanita Daniels officiating. Burial will follow at 1:00 pm at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, AR.
