Mr. Johnny Hooper, age 75, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. Johnny was born August 14, 1947 to the late James Vester Hooper and Alpha Etoil Pope Hooper in Cardwell, Missouri. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Johnny was a truck driver having worked 20 years for Overnite Transportation and retiring from Yellow Freight.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Dorothy “Dottie” L. Hooper; brother, Sonny Hooper; sisters, Priscilla Angotti and Mary Jo Ward.He is survived by his children, Joseph (Jeannie) Hooper, Jason (Stacy) Hooper, Travis (Ashley) Hooper; grandchildren, Leslie Hooper, Ariel Hooper, Joanna Hooper, Tyler (Kaylee) Hooper, Abigail Hooper, Allie Hooper, Zandra Mann, and Dakota Mann; great-grandchildren, Nora, Drake, Luca, Phoebe, Diana and a host of extended family.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 23, 2022 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. followed by burial in Rest Hills Memorial Park. griffinleggettresthills.com.
