Bobby Ray Beatty, 85, of North Little Rock, passed away December 16, 2016. He was born December 7, 1931 in Flora, Mississippi to the late Albert and Velma Echols Beatty. Bob was a man of immense character and the highest integrity. Known and loved by those who knew him as a man with a quick Witt, great sense of humor, and always had the best advice to give, whether you asked for it or not, advice born of experience and knowledge of people. Ask him what’s really important in this world and he would answer, “People are Important”. He would say he wasn’t a perfect husband, father, or friend, we would disagree. Bob’s love of family was second only to his love for God. Bob Beatty touched and blessed the lives of all who knew him, in a way that will never be forgotten. Faithful son and Servant of God, he was one. Hero, he was one. Friend, he was one. Mentor, he was one. Great man, he was one. Bob Beatty lives forever in the hearts and lives of his family and all who knew him. I imagine the words he heard from his Heavenly Father as he left this life, might of sounded like this, “Well done, good and faithful son, welcome home”. Bob was an avid golfer. He was also a dedicated employee at State Farm insurance, as a superintendent in the claims department. He was a man of faith, and an Elder at Trinity Fellowship Church. He is preceded in death by his parents; son Mike Haynie; and his sister Charlene Williams. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Patsy Curry Beatty; son Paul Eric Beatty; daughters Lisa Ayres (Michael), Paula Beatty, Debbie Norman (Larry), and Natalie Brakebill; sisters Opal Womack and Shirley Wand; ten grandchildren; and nine great- grandchildren. Service will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, with burial to follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday December 19, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to CARTI. To sign the online guestbook go to www.griffinleggettresthills.com
