Anna Marie Simmons Wilson Johnson died April 8, 2022. Ann was born September 13, 1931 in Stone County, Arkansas. She married Wayne Wilson in Little Rock, Arkansas; they had one son, Paul. Ann worked as a secretary at the Arkansas Gazette for almost 30 years before retiring in the early 1990s. She lived in Mountain View, Arkansas, prior to moving to Clemson, South Carolina in 2013 to be closer to her family.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Dovie Simmons; her husband, Wayne; her second husband, Richard “Johnnie” Johnson; and her brother, Gayland Simmons. She is survived by son Paul Wilson and his wife, Lane, of Clemson, South Carolina; grandson Anthony Wilson, also of Clemson; her brother, Velorn Simmons of Missouri, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in Rest Hills Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
