Dr. Schwartz was born and raised in Paterson, N.J. After graduating Eastside High School, where he met and took his future wife to the Senior Prom, he received his undergraduate and dental school degreees from the University of Maryland. He practiced dentistry for over 45 years, maintaining offices in Paterson, Fairfield and Chatham.
He loved all sports, especially mixed doubles tennis. Everyone knows his favorite word on the court was “yours!”
Dr. Schwartz is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Cynthia, two children. Melissa (Brett) Rodriguez of Short Hills, N.J., Jordan of Bethesda, Md, and three grandsons, Jesse, Reece and Mack.
In his honor, donations may be made to Missy’s Miracle Scholarship Fund, a charity established by his daughter in honor of her 30 year liver transplant re-birthday. This fund promotes education and awareness of organ donation throughout high schools in New Jersey.
