A proud native of Revere, Massachusetts, Joe was born on March 8, 1945 to Jerry and Virginia Lamberti. He moved to Los Angeles with his parents and brothers in 1962 where he attended Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks. After taking courses at UCLA, he found his niche in sales and owned and operated his store, Art’s Surplus, for a number of years before closing shop in 1985 and taking on his next endeavor: single father to three young children.
As the sole provider to two daughters and one son, Joe “stepped up to the plate,” so to speak, and coached soccer teams and baseball teams; taught himself how to cook and had dinner on the table every night until his children were old enough to do for themselves. He attended teacher conferences, threw birthday parties, rejoiced, held close, mourned with, celebrated with, and showed up for his three kids, and no matter the circumstance, Joe was a constant in their lives.
At the age of 63, Joe returned to school where he found his calling as a Certified Hypnotherapist, where he would go on to help numerous individuals reach their goals and find success in defeating their addictions, fears, anxieties, and chronic pain. Many, if not all, of his clients came to see Joe not just as a therapist, but also as a true confidant.
There were a lot of things he loved – a good banana cream pie, the Boston Red Sox, a game of poker, his mother’s eggplant parmigiana, 60’s rock ‘n roll, his old Chevy Camaro, walks with his buddies, and stories -- he loved to tell “remember when” stories -- whether they were about mowing his parents’ lawn as a kid, managing his brother’s rock band as a teenager, his cross-country traveling as a young man, or the trials and joys he faced as a single dad.
