Susan Elizabeth Peters

Susan was born on September 6, 1931 in Charleston, SC to the late Ingram Strobel and Eugenia Britt Lambert.

Throughout her life, she was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her family, she cared for foster children. She was an excellent seamstress and loved to cook and bake for her family. Sunday dinners following church will always be remembered as well as the many picnics she so enjoyed with the family at the railroad lake. She will be truly missed by so very many.

Susan is survived by daughters, Deborah S. Milam of North Charleston, Donna M. Knight of Summerville, Terri A. Colvard (Glenn) of North Charleston and Polly P. Haggard (Vince) of Meggett; sons, Holland M. Peters,III (Leah) of Isle of Palms and John A. Peters (Jean) of Folly Beach; sister Annie Scott of Tennessee; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Susan was preceded in death by one sister, Ellen Gaylord of Florida.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Carolina Memorial Park, Funerals & Cremation located at 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. 843-797-2222. Interment will be at Carolina Memorial Park.
