She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Jared McClammy and her stepfather, Ronald McDowell.
She is survived by her mother, Carolyn McDowell, her husband, Michael Hinson; two daughters, Sabrina (Chuck) Hall of Joint Base Lewis McChord, Washington, and Lindsey (Shawn) Boggs of Union, Kentucky and one son, James (Jessica) White of Goose Creek, SC; 3 stepsons, Jeff (Whitney) Troxel of Hanahan, Kevin (Megan) Hinson also of Hanahan, and Jason Huff of North Charleston, two stepdaughters, Raye Ann (Ryan) Coward of Mt Pleasant, and Stacey Troxel of Goose Creek; one brother, David McClammy of Bristow, Oklahoma, and three sisters, Judy (Bob) Andress of Virginia and Debi (Greg) Carrier of Hanahan, SC and Laura (Charles) McGee of Bonneau, SC and one special brother, Ronnie McDowell of Ladson. SC ; 18 grandchildren, Reagan, Brystol, and Auggie Hall, Dakota, Thomas, and Emmy Boggs, Hailey Fischer and Hannah White, Ava Grace Troxel, Hadleigh and Hayden Ortega, Reece and Rowan Coward, Madison, Anneliese, and Rachel Troxel, Tyler and Karter Hinson.
Sheila was born October 29, 1964 to Carolyn McDowell and Larry (Lawrence) McClammy. She graduated from Hanahan High School in 1983. Sheila was a fun loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter who would do anything for everybody. She loved cruising, loved the lake, and loved traveling. Loved being on the boat and in the sun. She enjoyed spending time in the pool with the kids and the grands. She took time to make numerous "best friendships" and always made everybody feel like they were the most important person in the room.
Visitation will be held Friday July 2, 2021 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Carolina Memorial Funerals & Cremation, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 3 from 11 am to 12 pm at Restoration Community Church, 6058 Miami St, Hanahan, SC with burial to follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens.
