Joseph Daniel Proctor

J.D. was born to Daniel and Lany Proctor on May 27, 1947. He grew up in the town of St. George with his late parents and his late sister, Betty Proctor Luntsford, who preceded him in death by just over a year.

J.D. spent the last year of his life struggling with health issues, and he was lovingly attended to by his niece Tina Luntsford Rucker and her husband Jeff Rucker. J.D. felt affection for Tina’s children, Jessica Beilstein of Summerville and Jeffrey Rucker of Summerville, and her grandson Carter Clink of Summerville, as though they were his own grandchildren. In addition to being an accomplished bowler in his earlier years, J.D. held an abiding passion for NASCAR, Chevy IIs, and all things fast. Among those he held most precious was his sweet dog Ruby, who stayed by his side until the very end.

J.D. is survived by the children from his only marriage, to Nancy F. Proctor of Santa Rosa, CA: Stephanie Miller of Albany, CA, Joe Proctor of Santa Rosa, CA, and Brandie Roberts of Portland, OR, as well as three grandchildren.

In accordance with J.D.’s wishes, there will be no services held in his honor.
