Denise Jones Teasley

Denise is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, Dale Teasley; their two sons, Lloyd Teasley (Julia) of Summerville, SC, and Chase Teasley of Summerville, SC; her mother, Barbara Jones of Summerville, SC; and her brother, Roy Jones III (Marianne) of Monroe, NC.

Denise was preceded in death by her father, Roy P. Jones Jr., and her grandparents, B.R. Winge & Pauline Winge, and Roy P. Jones Sr. & Alice Jones.

Denise had a distinguished career in the United States Air Force, where she served as a Major and worked as an Obstetrician-Gynecologist both during and after her time in the Air Force. Her dedication to service extended beyond her military career, as she was also the proud owner and practitioner at New Hope Integrative Medicine in Goose Creek, SC.

In addition to her medical career, Denise was an accomplished athlete, earning recognition as a two-time champion in free-form martial arts with the National Black Belt League (NBL). She had a passion for riding her BMW 1250GS motorcycle and loved spending time outdoors. Denise also had a deep love for music and was a talented pianist and organist, often playing at Lucedale Baptist Church. She was also an accomplished clarinetist and played with the College of Charleston Symphony during her time as a student there.

Her childhood accomplishments included being crowned Lil Miss North Charleston after winning a beauty pageant, and she later earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the College of Charleston, before completing her M.D. at the Medical University of South Carolina.

A visitation will be held at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, December 23, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A chapel service will follow at 1:00 PM, with burial to follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens, where she will be honored with military honors.
