Mrs Cossetti was born on July 1 1937, in Naples Italy, daughter of the late Giovannino Ventimiglia and Anna Witolla (in Ventimiglia). Her incredible life spanned many countries and continents, giving her a wealth of experiences. She survived the Allied bombing of Dresden in 1945, only to lose her beloved father days after WWII ended. This tragedy at a young age gave her the strength and determination to emigrate to the United States and start a new life for herself. After having her son, John, from a first marriage, she met the love of her life, Eolo Cossetti, and began a wonderful life together. She and her family returned to Italy in 1971, and continued her career as a simultaneous translator in 4 different languages and office manager. In 1991 she lost her beloved Eolo and then joined her son and his family in the United States, initially in Bossier City LA where her son was stationed, and finally settling down in Mount Pleasant, where her son moved after retirement from Air Force Active duty. Always one to improve herself, Connie completed her requirements for a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Gerontology from the Louisiana State University. Over the years, she dedicated herself to improve the lives of the elderly in her community, tirelessly helping in nursing homes and teaching fitness in various hospitals and senior centers in Louisiana and South Carolina. She also loved being around young people, volunteering countless hours of support to the Wando HS AFJROTC unit.
Surviving are his son John Farese, granddaughter Erika Johnson, Grandson Salem Johnson, Son-in- Law Anthony Johnson, along with many nieces and nephews.
Connie was preceded in her death by her brothers Giovanni and Francesco Ventimiglia.
