Betty Dick

Mrs. Betty Jean Dick, 82, of North Charleston, SC, entered into Eternal Rest on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. A funeral service in her honor will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017, 3:00pm at The Cathedral of Praise Church, 3790 Ashley Phosphate Rd, N. Charleston SC. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church. Betty was retired from the civil services, and was the head cashier at the commissary for 10 years. She volunteered at the church for 5 years, loved working in the yard, flowers, and enjoyed gardening. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Reidling and Rena Mae Payne; a step-father, Elbert Payne; a brother, Milton; and a sister, Peggy. Left behind to cherish her memory is her loving family; her husband of 65 years, Bobby Dick Sr.; a son, Bobby Dick Jr. (Holly); a daughter, Barbara Guerry (Rusty); 3 grandchildren: Bobby, Melinda, and Mary; 4 great-grandchildren: William, Tyler, Hayden, and Bruce; and two sisters, Nancy and Linda. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Hospice of Charleston and The Alzheimer’s Association. The family would like to thank Sweetgrass Court Assisted Living and The Hospice of Charleston for their loving care.
