In Oklahoma: Family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Primrose Funeral Service, 1109 N. Porter, Norman, OK 73071. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Friday, January 2, 2015 at Wildwood Community Church, 1501 24th Ave. N.E., Norman, OK 73071. Services are entrusted to Primrose Funeral Service.
In Mississippi: Family will receive friends from 2:00-5:00 pm, Sunday, January 4, 2015 and Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, January 5, 2015 at Millings Funeral Home, 23477 Hwy 15, Union, MS 39365. Burial service is immediately after at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 248 Honor Circle, Newton, MS 39345. Services are entrusted to Millings Funeral Home.
Ricky was born February 2, 1962, in Jackson, MS, to Frank and Eva Dee Wyatt. He is the youngest of three having one sister, Sybil Crenshaw and one brother, Tommy Wyatt.
Ricky graduated from Pearl High School in Pearl, MS, and from the University of Southern Mississippi. He later attended Florida State University where he received his Master’s Degree.
In the ROTC program, Ricky earned his United States Air Force commission. His career took him to Korea, Florida, Iceland, Germany, Belgium, Oklahoma, back to Germany and then back to Oklahoma to retire in 2011 as a Lieutenant Colonel, having served his country almost 25 years.
Ricky married Barbara in 1991 in Florida. Oree and Nathan were born in 1995 and 1998 respectively in The Netherlands.
Ricky was the head of his home, the spiritual leader of his family. He was a great husband and an amazing daddy. Ricky volunteered as a Scout leader through the years as Oree and Nathan earned their BSA Eagle Scout ranks.
Ricky is preceded in death by his grandparents; father; mother; a nephew, Shane Wyatt; and a brother-in-law, Dave Crenshaw.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Wyatt; their two sons, Oree Wyatt and Nathan Wyatt; his brother; his sister; one niece, Joyce Huskey; two nephews, Jay Wyatt and Dustin Wyatt.
