Martha Wood Riley

Martha Jean (Marty) Wood Riley died May 21st, 2021 in Norman Oklahoma. Mrs. Riley was born January 31, 1935 in Gibson County, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by parents William Webber Wood and Dorothy Grace Lewis Wood of Pocahontas, TN; husband Cdr. Charles E. Riley (USN Retired); son Patrick Riley; brother Joe Wood of Nashville, TN; sister Mickey Sessions and brother James R Wood, both of Pocahontas, TN; and sister-in-law Carolyn Weinmeister of Oklahoma City. She is survived by daughter Elizabeth Riley of Norman; niece Patricia Weinmeister of Oklahoma City; niece Marie Kline of Ocala, FL; and niece Gail Wood of Pocahontas, TN.

Mrs. Riley was a flight attendant for Trans World Airlines (TWA), and a civilian employee of the U.S. Air Force in London, England. She enjoyed traveling the world with her family before settling down in her husband's home state of Oklahoma, and worked eleven years for the University of Oklahoma College of Business Administration. She attended McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church, was a member of United Methodist Women Circle 9, and was a member of Coterie Club of Norman.
