Barbara Couch

Barbara Rhae Davis Couch, age 79, passed from this life on Sunday, March 3rd into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father surrounded by her family. Barbara was born May 29, 1933 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Robert Daniel and Helen Recoulley Davis. She graduated from Bolton High School in Alexandria and attended Louisiana College in Pineville, LA. She married W. Frank Couch on June 13, 1953 and they made their home in Pineville where they served in the music ministry in several churches. Barbara worked for AT&T Telephone Company, Rapides Bank, and taught piano in her home while living in Louisiana. In 1973, the family moved to Norman. Barbara was employed by several banks in the area. She was very active in First Baptist Church where she served as drama director, deacon, member of the Adult Choir and Sunday School department pianist.

Barbara was preceded in death by the love of her life, W. Frank Couch. She is survived by her four children, Susan Morgan and husband Ted of Newcastle, Danny Couch and wife Judy of Ft. Worth, TX, Cindi Hickmott of San Ramon, CA and Scott Couch and fiancé Kathy Emerson of Austin, TX; four grandsons, two granddaughters-in-law, five great-grandchildren and numerous other extended family members. Barbara loved her family and friends and lived life to the fullest in everything she did.
