Maurice H. Delancey, 86, passed away October 31, 2016. He was born in New York City to the late Alfred and Maude Pontiphlet. He was a member of Little Creek Naval Base Chapel and was a Master Mason. Maurice proudly served his country for 24 years in the United States Navy as a Signal Man and retired as a Chief. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Annie W. Delancey and daughter Marie Delancey.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Darryl C. Delancey; daughters, Cheryl Davidson and Gayle Derouen; sister-in-law, Sheila Imobisa (Francis); brother-in-law, Charles Windley (Bernice); eight grandchildren, Darel Davidson, Rhonda Delancey, Gregory Williams, Ebony Williams, Octavia Williams, Dallas Davidson, Davina Edwards (Jonathan) and Adrienne Brown and a host of great grandchildren.
The visitation will be Friday, November 4, from 5-8 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, Virginia.
