Margaret Ann Cook, 91, of Windermere, FL, joyfully embraced Jesus~her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 6, 2021. She passed away peacefully after a long illness. Margaret was born in West Virginia. She previously lived in Norfolk, VA and Virginia Beach from 1967-2017. She was a faithful military wife who sacrificially loved family, friends and her country. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Henry T. Cook. Left to cherish her precious memory are 3 daughters, Minta Cook, Marla Mooney (Walter) and Lori Diaz (Randy). Also feeling the great loss of their Memaw are 4 grandchildren, Amanda Burkholder (Joe), Ryan Diaz (Kate), Tyler Diaz (Marie) and Lauren Diaz. Margaret was also blessed with 7 great-grandchildren. Margaret was blessed with countless friends over her lifetime. Alyce Lawrence, Steve Lawrence, Sandi Lane and Ken Lane deserve special mention for the agape love they gifted to Margaret. In Margaret Cook’s garden bloomed all the Fruits of the Spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control. (Galatians 5:22-23) A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 17th at 10am at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6309 E. Virginia Beach Boulevard, Norfolk, VA 23502. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Norfolk, 312 Kempsville Road, Norfolk, VA 23502.
