John Ferebee Whitehurst

Virginia Beach- John Ferebee Whitehurst, 82, passed away on January 12, 2012 in Chesapeake General Hospital. He was a native of South Norfolk, Virginia and a member of Oaklette United Methodist Church. John retired from DMV after 30 plus years of service and he also retired from Fulton Bank after 20 years. He was predeceased by his parents John A. and Virginia F. Whitehurst. John is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Mamie R. Whitehurst; a son, John F. Whitehurst, Jr. (Cynthia) of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Cathleen Albertson (Keith) also of Virginia Beach; a brother, Luther C. Whitehurst (Jean) of Leesburg, Florida; two grandchildren; Kevin Albertson (Bailey) and Kelli Heine (Chris), and triplet great grandchildren, Addison, Aiden, Ashton Heine; and his dog Lucy. The family will receive friends at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Sunday, January 15, 2012, from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held 11 am Monday, January 16, 2012 at Oaklette United Methodist Church, 520 Oaklette Drive, Chesapeake, Virginia 23325 with Rev. Dr. Timothy Hazlett officiating.
