Mr. Paschall was born in Manson, North Carolina on May 1, 1920 to the late, Arthur Edith “Keat” Paschall and Annie Edwards Paschall. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances P. Paschall and fifteen brothers and sisters, Arthur, James, Wilbur, Thomas, and Dorothy Paschall, Lewis Millard, Sr., Leonard Wilton, Myrtis Estelle, Alice Mabel, Eula Belle, Lucy Greene, Maggie Blanche, Helen Kerr, and Frances Rebecca.
Mr. Paschall was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving under General George Patton’s Third Army in the Normandy invasion. He retired from the Norfolk Ford Assembly Plant after thirty years of service.
Survivors include a daughter, Lucy Paschall Cupp and her husband, Daniel Lee Cupp, two grandchildren, Jeannie Cupp Miller and her husband, Dale Thomas, and Paul Cupp and his wife, Patricia; four great grandchildren, Christian Anthony Cupp, Dylan Patrick Cupp, Isabelle Malina Cupp and Alena Brooke Miller; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norview Chapel.
A celebration of Mr. Paschall’s life will be held on Wednesday, 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Norfolk. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
