Nécrologie de James Michael Maloney
James Michael Maloney, 62, passed away June 6, 2022. Born April 25, 1960, in Newport, Rhode Island, he was the son of James Martin Maloney and Joan Marie (Maloney) Crank. He was a graduate of Bayside High School class of 1978 and served in the United States Air Force from 1979 through 1987. Later, he proudly worked for Raytheon, and then Flowserve where he retired last year. Jimmy loved the outdoors and enjoyed riding dirt bikes and scuba diving, but his ultimate passion was fishing. He loved to find humor in everything and shared his quick wit with everyone he met. If there was an outdoor fire pit, you could find Jimmy and his guitar encouraging everyone to join in. To him, everyone had a beautiful voice and he enjoyed playing songs for you from the Beatles to Charlie Daniels & Marshall Tucker and one of his favorites - Lynyrd Skynyrd. Over the past year, he was overcoming health challenges and was blessed to have his little sister Kathy by his side as his caretaker. His daughters were loved deeply, and he was enormously proud of both, Cassandra Marie (Maloney) Sullivan, her husband Jerry, and their daughter Caitlin; Michelle Renee (Maloney) Ward, her husband Nick, and their daughters Taylor and Morgan. Left to cherish his memory: His mother, Joan Marie (Maloney) Crank, and father James Martin Maloney; Sisters Marie Miller, Patty Bedrosian, Kathy Stone and husband Rick, Brother Bill Maloney and wife Amy; Maria Woods and husband Jess. From Boston - Aunt Kathleen Maloney, Uncle Joe and Aunt Ann Maloney, and Michael Quinn. He was preceded in death by a brother Johnny Maloney and his stepfather, Art Crank. Services will be held for family and close friends on June 15, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home. In Lieu of Flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Riverbend Church 230 Meadow View Boulevard Suffolk, VA 23435
