Linda is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, William Haywood "Billy" Jefferson; her daughter Tammy Davis and granddaughters Emily Reber (Anthony Reber) and Deanna Davis; her daughter-in-law Kristy Jefferson and granddaughters Tyler Jefferson and Natalie Jefferson; great-grandsons: Landon, Liam, Ashton, & Mason Reber; two sisters, one brother and many nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her son William H. Jefferson, Jr.; her parents Wilfred & Mary Spence; her two brothers and two sisters.
After a successful career and retirement from Farm Fresh, she went on to work at Optima Health and retired for a second time in 2021.
People and animals alike were all drawn to Linda, spreading her love far and wide. She had a way about her that never made someone feel like a stranger; no matter where you were she felt like home. Those who knew her know that her life lessons were just what you needed even if it was not what you wanted to hear at the time. With her strength, wisdom, and sage advice she built a strong, loving family that can weather any storm. We all will carry a piece of her that will live on in each one of us forever. Her sun rose and set on her family; we were her sunshine just as she was ours. And we know for a fact that there is no one with more stars in their crown.
A visitation for Linda will be held Friday, March 24, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, Virginia 23502. A reception will follow immediately after at the Wilcox Home, 1106 Layton St. Norfolk, VA 23502.
