Clarissa is survived by her spouse Mac McElroy, followed by sons Gary-Iñigo Bascon Smith and Guy Smith Jr. She is also survived by her dogs Lucky and Timber.
Clarissa was the epitome of a mother, tender loving care as well as a loving wife. She grew up in Subic, Philippines, and eventually subsided in Norfolk, Va. She worked two jobs including 7-11 and HMS host as a bartender at the Norfolk International Airport. She later pursued a career as a Licensed Practical Nurse, earning her Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Management. Clarissa was not the ordinary woman you see; she is a superwoman. She embodied artistic qualities, being adventurous, spontaneous, courageous, as well as fierce. She is resilient and plowed through many obstacles in her life to achieve her goals. Her resilience and hard work made her achieve her first Shamrock half marathon as well as many 5ks to follow. She loved giving because that was her nature as an individual and a very proud mother of her sons, whom she loved more than anything. Whatever was given to her was made into a blessing and spread amongst others because she cared. Clarissa is a beautiful woman through her heart and stunning looks and always managed to keep herself stunning with or without makeup and jewelry of course. She loves animals, especially her Boston terrier named Lucky and Jack Russell terrier named Timber. Most importantly she was loved by all who valued and cherished her every step of the way. Forever and always in our hearts, she will remain the angel that blessed us ever since the world began.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 1st, 2022 at 2 pm at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The service will be live-streamed for friends and family to view online.
